This house was made from a kit by Pam Junk. It fits inside a tall dome and every floor is lighted. This was my first completely furnished dollhouse in any scale.
I also used several furniture kits by Pam to furnish it. The only exception is the attic twin beds, I designed those myself and then I had to create an additonal chest to match also. The attic is on top of course, then the green bedroom, then below it, is the living/kitchen room. The little kitten was purchased.
The swing is from a kit by Carol's Creations. It was the porch version, so I had to add the frame. The stove is from the brown plastic furniture line.
The little flowers in the border of the path are from a real dried flower called Caspia. Each flower was removed from the dried stem and then glued to the foam bushes. The reddish bush in between the two small evergreen trees below the kitchen is the same dried flower but left on the stem.
This is a house that I was commissioned to do by a friend I worked with at the time. I learned a very good lesson as I didn't charge near enough.
I scratch built the structure completely. I made this after starting the Pam Junk kit above and used similar techniques. It gave me new appreciation for artists who offer kits as the designing, fitting etc is done for you. Most kits are well worth the price.
