This software is written as a DOS based application. It runs in all windows operating systems. I chose this format for a very good reason that benifits both the user and the developer.
Tested in Windows versions: 3.0, 3.1, 98, ME, NT2000, XP, XP PRO, and Vista Home Premium.
Tested in DOS 6.2
Petepool has not needed any changes for years. If I had developed this application in Windows, every time Microsoft changed it's operating system, it would break the software. Why would I, as a developer, want to have to be tied to the changes that they make to the operating system? Why would you as a user want to have your software rendered useless during a operating system upgrade?
