there is only one dream

there is only one hope

in this grand earthly scheme.

The wish and the hope

are the same as the dream

and the fact that you've found them

will hardly seem

such a revelation

when your eyes behold

the truth that your heart

didn't need to be told ~

that love does surround you

that it's always quite near

but your eyes didn't see it

your ears didn't hear

the words that were spoken

the feelings conveyed,

the promise unbroken

the wishes you made.

So open your heart

and let love inside

it's there if you want it

it's there by your side.
