My Roots

I was born in Cleveland Heights and raised in Lakewood, Ohio. My parents were Steven Kovacs, who was born in Debrecen, Hungary and Winifred Scott, who was born in Jersey City, NJ. I am Hungarian and Irish. I have one brother and 4 sisters and 11 nieces and nephews.

I am married to David Jeffords. We are living happily ever after in Gahanna, Ohio.

My Work

I work at Bell Laboratories, the R&D organization for Lucent Technologies. Specifically, I work on NetMinder which is a network management system for the telecommunications network. I am currently doing database architecture and development.

I have been working at Lucent (or its predecessors AT&T and Western Electric) since March, 1983.
