On this page I want to record the names of kin who were living when there names were first entered but are no longer with us.


 Mildred Eleanor Cooper wife of Loran James Cooper  the last surviving child of Benjamin Jesse Montgomery and Elizabeth Jane Boughner died aproximately 1700 PST  30 November 2001 at the Myrtle Point Care Center in Myrtle Point, Coos County, Oregon. Billie as she was known by her many friends was born in La Grande, Grant County, Oregon on 12 December 1905.
  Her daughter Jane remembers her telling the story of when she dad were first married and moved to Powers where Loran was the new District Ranger; the first morning there she was awakened by a Burro, putting his head in the window and braying for his breakfast! Within a week she was cooking over a campfire for the firecrew while dad was fighting fire.

                  Billy J Hutton , "Bud" as he was known to family, the husband of Jane Cooper died 14 2002 in St Elizabeth Health Services in
Baker City Oregon.


                   Bette Jean Cook (McClosky) died 18 Feruary 2002. This was reprted by Betsy's sister-in-law Arlene Nicola Cook by Email 26 May 2002.

Robert Mandel Dimmick died at his home in Athena, Oregon on 11 April 2003.
Robert was the third of four children born to Maurice O'Dell and Lulu Childers
Dimmick. He was born 20 November, 1931 in Walla Walla, attended schools there,
then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1950.

He served aboard the USS Helena during the Korean Conflict, then served three
tours in Viet Nam on the Mekong River Patrol. Following 30 years of military
service, he returned to the Walla Walla area after his discharge.

An avid fly fisherman, he loved to tie his own flies and share them with others.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Shultz Dimmick, two daughters, Carrie Dillman
and
Rebecca Dimmick. A son, Robert Dimmick and brother, John M. Dimmick preceded him
in death.

Curtis Loren Madden

March 17, 1928 - Dec. 17, 2004

Curtis Loren Madden of Fossil died Friday. He was 76.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Fossil Masonic Lodge in Fossil.

Mr. Madden was born March 17, 1928, in Norton, Kan. He attended High School in Sandy.

He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He married Elva Madden on June 22, 1957, in Stevenson, Wash.

Mr. Madden worked at the Kinzua Pine Mill until his retirement in 1991.

He was a 32nd degree Mason, a past Worshipful Master and a lifetime member of Fossil Masonic Lodge #89 AF&AM.

He was also a member of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Baker, Orient of Oregon and a 34-year member of the Condon Elks Lodge #1869.

Mr. Madden enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife of Fossil; three daughters, Brenda Comini of Prineville and

Linda Miller and Glenda Lantis, both of Bend; and three grandchildren.
