Occupation

I am an Automation Engineer. I program control software for ion-beam etch and deposition systems used in thin-films.

Hobbies

My main hobbies are: A 30 year old bilge-keel sloop named "Piri Reis" after the Turkish admiral, chart maker and scoundrel.

I own and ride a 500cc Anglo-Indian Enfield Bullet motorcycle named Kim, after the Kipling novel. It was designed in the '50s and has been made ever since, first in England and from '55 on in India.

My garden is one of my great pleasures.

This year we have the usual tomatoes, peppers, carrots and eggplants. Along with these are basil, oregano, thyme, lemon grass, tarragon, rosemary and Vietnamese coriander.
