6-6-08 Dear Hazel, I was thrilled to see Garfield's picture. You are so kind to display it. I loved every minute while working on it. I would not even begin to say how long it took because I just picked it up when I had the time and good lighting. Watching it grow was so exciting. When I tell people that it has 25,940 stitches in total and 100 colors of floss, they are truly in awe. Being "reverse snowbirds" I completed the project in FL this past spring and had it framed. It was immediately hung on the wall in a very prominent place where I can look at it daily. However, I carefully wrapped it up and have brought it to NH for this summer so that people who had watched the growth of it over the past couple of years, could see the finished project. I have begun on the Sheltie picture of our dog Tammy. Although I have several types of projects on my summer list, I am having trouble putting the x-stitch work down. It too has 100 colors of floss but I am working it on 16 count instead of 18 count so that the 2 pictures will be approximately the same size. I am using 3 strand of thread because it seemed to need that for coverage, especially the dark colors. You can certainly add any of the above to my picture in your gallery.
