January 26, 2006 Dear Hazel, In October, 2005, I sent you a photo of my dog and you made a cross-stitch pattern for me. I just completed it and I am enclosing a picture of my finished work. I am so pleased with it! It looks exactly like my dog. When I received the pattern and saw that there were 76 different colors of thread, I almost fainted. But, then I realized that the more colors there were, the better the detail would be. And it's true. The finished cross-stitch looks like a photograph. When I was working on it, my husband kept commenting about how much it looked like Annie, our dog. I explained to him that you had made a grid and I was just following the directions. But, he didn't understand. He kept saying, "How can you sew it and make it look exactly like Annie?" I think he thought I was a magician or something. Ha! When you look at the cross-stitch up close, it looks flat and has many different colors. But, if you stand back from it, it takes on a 3-dimensional look and looks perfect. When I finished, my husband said it was so good that I had to get it framed. I did and it is now prominently displayed in my home. It took me about 120 hours to complete, but it was worth it. I have some advice for your future customers. First of all, I would highly recommend your company and tell your customers to be PATIENT, and follow the grid exactly and they will be very pleased with the results. Thank you again, Hazel. Sincerely, Kay Tecu |
