A note about this Spider

Introduced to the world at the 1966 Turin auto show, the Fiat 124 Spider didn't find it's way to the States until Spring 1968. This example, Serial No 0005701, is the 82nd Fiat 124 Spider sold in the US.

Mods from original appearance include 15x7 polished American Racing Sentra wheels. Tires are medium profile 195-50/15, a far cry from stock 145SR13 pizza-cutters. Car has been lowered 21/2". Handles very well.

Other appearance personalizations include removing bumper guards, side marker lights and stainless steel rocker panel trim pieces. Color is silver gray metallic. Renewed interior is black. Seats are vinyl with cloth inserts. Corbeau's expected soon.

The object was to get it clean, keep it fresh and make it a pleasure to work on. Engine bay is painted in oil/gas resistant low sheen black engine enamel. Air horns moved to front of radiator.  Stock fan replaced by electric unit from '76 124. Relays added for fan, electric fuel pump and headlights. Remote starter switch added for easy valve adjustments.

A few more mods ...
