Day 3: Nassau

At about 7:30, you awaken to see New Providence Island sliding by to starboard. From your verandah, you can watch the approach, but the best spot is from high on deck 10. From there you can look down on the bridge wing as the crew uses the amazing computer navigation equipment to first spin the ship (in a very narrow spot!), and then back into the slip without the use of tugs. All of this is possible only because of some advanced equipment that runs the ship almost like a 'fly-by-wire' plane. In the mode they used to back in, the ship's computer holds the orientation to a fixed heading (the same as the pier's) while the officers use a joystick to maneuver the ship... very impressive to watch.

In Nassau, the Premier ship "Oceanic" is dwarfed by the huge "Disney Magic".

Dinner for day 3 is in the same restaurant as Day 2, but the theme is changed to a Bahamas 'Junkanoo'. All the staff wears bright colors (the passengers are encouraged to as well), and upbeat Caribbean music plays. At the end, the kids were dancing around the room with the wait staff!

The show for Day 3 is "Island Magic", directed more at the kids and employing Disney Characters.
