Things don't happen, and gigs are in smaller and less glorious places.
They never thought that they wouldn't make it.
It never occured to them that
there were more sharks than goldfish in the river of dreams.
That some only live by robbing the dreams of others.

Opportunity for the trio no longer seems worth the sacrifice.
in the fall of 1979, Pete and Tim leave North Carolina for Miami.
Johnny stays behind.
Tim had given his last professional performance.
Pete hopes he can get a job playing guitar on a cruise ship.
His last professional performance
is at a retirement center in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
6 months later, a fall almost kills him,
and his dream gets put aside.
Things got far worse for Johnny. He got married!
