FNRA Chronology
In 1973 Pete Ansley and Tim Terrier became friends
at South View Senior High School.
From "AnsTer-Ltd" in 1974 to just
"Tim and Pete" in 1975
(So they weren't creative with names)
They learned to play guitar and wrote lots of songs together.
Tim and Pete in College 1976
This compatibility was remarkable since
Tim was a huge fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival
and Pete pretty much played the grooves off old Bee Gees
records.
But in 1975 ,
Pete was paid actual money for playing one song
for friend L. Taylor's wedding.
He knew he was onto something...but what was it?
"I played a song, I got paid...hmmm..."
(Pete was a bit naive.....eh...slow)
With Keith and Gary
They played in different combinations of small groups with
Ki Choi, Gary Nichols,
Keith White, Mike Bailey, Mike Bumgarner.
Still not making "the money for nothing
and your chicks for free" connection.
Ki (now an internet company founder and executive)
and Gary (now an optician) still remain good friends.
And made all kinds of money
AFTER they quit playing with our heroes.Hmmmmmm.
ALL THEY WANTED WAS A LITTLE RESPECT!
Left to right, Tim, Dave, Ron, and Pete.
Then came the creation of Pegasus
in the summer of 1976
with bassist Ron Humphries and drummer Dave Sylvia.
Pegasus became a house band of
the Gaslight Night Club in Fayetteville with some
outside gigs.
(Thats musician talk for "played in other places")
