The Model WS-1500 Forensic Science Workstation® incorporates the following features:

  • A 16" dia. x 54" L  CYVAC™ CA Vacuum System to apply Super Glue (cyanoacrylate) vapors to forensic evidence, to polymerize or plasticize latent prints on polyethylene, weapons and will accommodate round 5 gallon gas cans and World War II jerry cans.

  • A 12" x 18" Bell Jar CA (Super Glue) Vacuum System allows for observation of fingerprint development.

  • A Fingerprint Powder Accumulator, with downdraft air stream, to minimize airborne fingerprint powders, is centrally located in the work surface within the fume hood.  A  stainless steel cover is included to provide additional work surface.  Powder traps and filters are easily removed for cleaning or replacement.

  • An Ultrasonic Humidifier is provided to hydrolyze or wet extremely dry prints prior to processing.

  • A secondary CA system is provided to supply additional CA vapors and combined with ambient air will further process fingerprints without opening the chamber at the end of the normal vacuum CA process.

  • Fume Hood Size: 60"W  x 30"D x 60"H with tempered glass panels allowing for front and/or rear access.

  • The Fume Hood System has built-in fire extinguisher and vapor shield incandescent lights.  The wiring should incorporate a manual resetable breaker interconnected to the fire extinguisher system within the hood.  The breaker should open when the fire extinguisher discharges.  A minihelic gauge and airflow monitor with alarm is mounted in the hood.

  • A stainless steel sink  (12" x 9" x 6"D) with taps for hot and cold water to be connected to a reservoir or existing plumbing.

  • A 4" pot sink with absorbent canister for chemical disposal.

  • A compressed air supply with airbrush assembly is supplied to spray photochemistry

  • A wet/dry vacuum cleaner for cleanup.

  • Four (4) ground fault duplex receptacles.

  • Power requirements: 30 amps, 230 volts AC to have all systems operational at the same time.  A 30 amp, 230 volt service or field generated power is considered normal.

  • A continuously operating exhaust system at 2500 cubic feet per minute with bypass (10" or 12" pipe) and external fan must be supplied by the installing contractor. CALL FOR REFERRAL.
