In the winter of 2000, here in the fine city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we conducted an on-premise bartender competition that spanned a 6-week period, included bartenders from 36 bars, included 5 host venues, and led to a hyped up Final Competition held at a place called The Rave. The event was called the "War of the Pour".

Our War of the Pour event consisted of 4 weekly preliminary rounds leading to a Final Competition held at a place called The Rave.

Each qualifying round consisted of a best drink competition between 9 bartenders where the top 2 scoring bartenders from each of these rounds were selected to compete in our Event Finals.

Here, they would compete for our chosen prizes and the "claim to fame" from being selected as one of Milwaukee's best!!

Our qualifying rounds were held weekly on Tuesday nights on the following dates:

Tuesday, February 22 at BBC Tuesday, February 29 at The Lodge

Tuesday, March 07 at The Park Bar Tuesday, March 14 at Groovy Night Club
