Opossum Wranglers Biography

Opossum Wranglers are:
Michael Alexander on banjo, ukulelle, bass and vocals
Nina Darko Vukmanic on Bass and fretless electric guitar
Jane Hall on Drums, guitar and vocals

The Opossum Wranglers feature the instrumental and vocal talents
of three Seattle music veterans. Their music is an original blend of
country, hawaiian, bluegrass and swing.  The Opossum Wranglers
weave voices and instruments into tight and compelling songs that
explore traditional country and American folk themes and provoke
reactions ranging from the tapping of toes to the stomping of feet.
Starting out at the end of 2004 with shows in Minneapolis, they
proceeded with two tours  through Alaska; an extended CD release
tour in the spring followed by a second in mid summer. Squeezing
some shows in between these tours in Idaho(Moscow and Sandpoint)
and Seattle, the Opossum Wranglers ended 2005 with several shows
in Seattle and the expansion of their wrangling skills onto the Olympic
Peninsula.
Their Radio appearance include playing  live on Glacier City Radio,
KEUL in Girdwood during both Alaskan tours , and at the KFAI fresh
Air Radio, Minneapolis-St.Paul. Their studio performance of Winter
Kills was selected by KFAI to be released on a live in -Studio
compilation of various musicians who have appeared on DJ Harald
Trembley's House Party.
The Opossum Wranglers plan to return to Alaska  and Idaho in the
future and develop what promises to be a supportive fan base. In
Seattle they  have begun to work on local bookings and have been
preparing material for a new recording. Look for Seattle, Olympic
Peninsula , Tacoma and  Portland area live shows  and a new
recording in this year.
