Photo by: Irene Robinson The determination of this species is not certain, because locality data is often unknown for brittlestars in the trade. This species appears to have a ring of scales around the margin of the disk upon which the determination was made. The coloration is also consistent with this species. The genus is one of the easiest for the hobbyist to determine: the disk will feel somewhat slimy, and the arms will feel rather sticky (due to small serrations).
