Ophiactis sp.

A common denizen of refugia, this genus typically hitches a ride on Live Rock or algae. The coloration can be quite variable, but the arms are often banded. This species also has six arms (three tiny arms are regenerating at the top of the animal), indicating that it reproduces through fission, or splitting. It is considered to be a very good addition to the refugium community.
