“Anywhere?” Pip brushed his palm against Merry’s cheek.
“Anywhere, long as I get to kiss back. And we’re quiet.”
Right. Sam was only just getting Frodo to sleep again now Bilbo had left the Shire for good. He pushed Merry onto his back and paused, wondering where he should start.
Finally, Pip pressed his lips against the space where Merry’s neck met his shoulder. Merry sighed happily.
Pip took that as a sign of approval as he unbuttoned his cousin’s nightshirt to expose the collarbone. Here the kiss was wet.
Merry squirmed.
“Not there?”
“There’s good,” Merry whispered. Pip kissed down his shoulder.
At the nipple, Pip opened his mouth and used his tongue the way he saw one of Rosie’s cousins do to the Proudfoot boy once.
Merry moaned. Pip opened his nightshirt the rest of the way and tried something else he saw her do.
This time, Merry gasped. “Wait…”
“Was that bad?”
Merry slid his nightshirt off and helped Pip with his. “Just wanna kiss back…”
Merry shifted so that Pip could see. He repeated the kisses Pip had just given to him.
Pip groaned. He understood what the big deal was all about.
He didn’t care.
