Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi's "Switzerland Succoring Strasbourg"
This statue is a gift from the city of Strasbourg, France in appreciation of the help it received during the war of 1870. It was erected in Basel, Switzerland, near the train station in 1895. A numbered artist's proof was stolen from a private residence in France in 1994. It is approximately 88cm high and 80cm wide. There is a reward for information leading to its recovery.
