Reward for Missing Bartholdi's Bronze Statue

The depicted bronze statue was stolen from a private residence in Eastern France in March 1994. It is signed "Bartholdi" on the right of the bronze base. Interpol has traced it to Belgium, then to Cairo, Egypt where it stayed only a short while in the shop of a shady antique dealer before being sold. Police are actively looking for it. There is a reward for information leading to the recovery of the statue and the arrest of the perpetrators. For information: odechillaz@worldnett.att.net
