HOW'D IT GO - When
I set out for the park with my Twister in my backpack on that hot June
day, I never thought that would be the last time I'd see the little black
rocket. This was the first, and the last launch for the Twister. I guess
Friday the Thirteenth finally decided to kick in. This rocket had a maximum
altitude of 1000 feet, I was using the highest powered engine recommended,
and it was somewhat windy so I aimed the rocket about 70 degrees into the
wind. 5…4…3…2…1…liftoff! The rocket took off like a bat out of hell. About
five seconds after liftoff, I herd a small explosion and I couldn't see
the rocket with my binoculars. I couldn't find any remains anywhere. That
was the end of my Twister.
