Lost Creek Troubadour

ILR # pending dam's screening in 2008
male b. 12-7-07
JD's Cappuccino x Ramblin' Rosie

Troubadour is proving to be his parents' son -- inquisitive, mellow, and definitively classic. He did not inherit his father's gaits AT ALL, however (it's a complicated genetic trait), and thus is destined to be a gelding, and a non-packer (and certainly not a harness llama).

We are seeing in Troubadour everything it takes to be a fine companion and outstanding show llama in both halter and performance classes. Although his gaits will tend to make him a slower walker (painfully slow uphill), he certainly will be capable of limited-duty packing as long as his handler isn't too speedy. However, we will not place him in a primarily packing home, as he (and the humans involved) are certain to become frustrated by the limitations of his gaits ... Troubadour deserves to be appreciated in the areas where his multiple resounding talents shine, not wrongly directed into activities for which he didn't make the grade!

A troubadour was a medieval entertainer, talented in music, poetry, and often other arts. Some troubadours travelled, but generally they were employed by a particular court. Our Troubadour is certainly talented and suited for the entertainment facet of the llama world! After neutering, he will be auditioning before special "courts" for a permanent home. If you would like to meet him earlier than that, either on the farm or at a nearby llama show, please email us so we can connect up. Troubadour doesn't care who you are, or even if you are interested in him -- he would like to meet you anyway!
