Elderberry is a member of the Honeysuckle Family. It tends to grow as a shrub up to 13 feet in height. Friuts will be tiny berries that are purple to black. These berries can be used in some wines or jams. While the primary time for blooms is June - August, they can be found year-round. The flowers also tend to be a favorite for the White-Tailed Deer.
