Welcome to the home page of Becky, Kerry, Kari and Tommy Coffman - the 2008 version.. Kari graduated as Valedictorian from her High School this past June, and is attending Georgetown University.  Over the summer she was able to take a 17 day tour/trip to Europe: including Greece, Italy, Switzerland, France and England.  Kari's HS interests included TRACK/Cross-Country,  soccer, her cell phone (i.e., texting), dogs, cats, the Yankees, NYC, broadway plays and driving! Currently, she is enjoying much of what the Washington, DC area has to offer.  Some of her HS highlights over the past year included excelling on the Varsity Winter track, Spring track, and Cross-country teams.  Tom is currently a sophomore in High School and he just received his learner's permit/driver's license.  A few of  his interests are the drums, drawing, making stop-motion animation films, pool, graphic novels, and video games.   On the dog side of the family, we lost our beloved Bo Dog unexpectedly last summer (she was 13).  Our family brown dog Missy took the loss hard, but is beginning to adapt as an only dog. Missy  is our own version of a red psycho mutt who somehow thinks she's a llama. We now only have three cats (Bones, Bonnie -aka Skunk face-, and Sam). Penny (Kerry's cat) passed away last Spring at the age of  20.  Becky is the Mommy person and a devout chocaholic. It looks like Kerry made his break from coaching soccer and baseball permanent.  Now with Kari at Georgetown he also seems to be cutting back a bit on the  track and cross-country events. Of course he's trying to learn as much as he can about crewing (i.e., rowing) since Kari is on the GU crew team.  In addition, he still scuba dives, rock climbs, ice climbs, skis, and takes a lot of walks with Missy-Mutt.  Kerry also finally joined the 20th century (getting close to modern times) in that last season he finally broke down and bought some new shaped (snow) skis - to replace his old "195" dinosaurs.  He also even bought a ski helmet for the '08-'09 season.  The past year was another very good dive season.  It included a great dive trip up the St. Lawrence Seaway..  Nevertheless, there wasn't quite any personal adventures on that trip that seemed to top the famous Canadian cornfield dive from the summer of '05.

Below you can see a picture from the trip Becky and the kids took to Ohio and then Texas in August of 2007.  It shows several of the "Billings" girls - including Kari, Becky, Becky's mother, two of Becky's sisters ( Marty and Mary), along with two of Becky's nieces (Kathy and Shannon).

Below are a few pictures of the kids and you can see that Kari still needs to lean on Tom.  The first one shows Tommy and Kari on the Bow of the Disney Wonder during the summer of 2000 (you can click it to get to one of our "Disney" page), and the other one was from a hike we did in the summer of' 04.  The third one was taken in the summer of '06 up at the Gunks (upstate NY).  It shows Melissa (Angelique's daughter), Tom and Kari on a great day trip of rock climbing, hiking, and playing in the swimming hole.  Some things never change.
