Summer 2008
The summer of 2008 was indeed a very, very busy summer. Kari graduated
as Valedictorian of her high school, she was selected as one of the top
5 scholar-athletes within the state of NJ. She was also able to
take a
17 day tour/trip through Europe -
visiting Greece, Italy, Switzerland,
France and England. Then in late August she headed down to
Georgetown University. There was also a lot of bike riding, trips
to the shore, strolls with the pups and a LOT of roller coaster
riding. It also ended up being a
great
summer for both rock
climbing and scuba
diving
.

As a father's day present Tom painted a very nice rock climbing picture
for his Dad. Below you can see a couple of pictures
from the EHS graduation, including Kari giving her Valedictorian speech.

Below is a hot taken when at Six Flags, and then three photos taken on
one of the bike rides at Sandy Hook.

Next, you can see a wild turkey Kerry saw on one of his bike rides
through Piscataway, and then a shot of one of the wrecks that we
dove up in the St. Lawrence Seaway (Canada).

Below is a shot of the famous 2008 Hot Dogs (a couple of guys are
missing). This was the best Hot Dog team in decades, easily
making into the Playoffs.

As part of Kari being selected as one of the top student-athletes in
the state, we were able to watch one of the Patriot games in one of the
luxury boxes.

Tom finally turned 16 this summer, and soon thereafter Kari headed to
Georgetown. On the day we moved her down there, Cherry
and Sam showed up at an obscenely early hour of the morning to decorate
our driveway with several going away scribblings. Below that
picture
is a view from Kari's dorm (Darnell) at Georgetown.

Finally, there is a shot that Kerry took of Ryan leading Yellow Ridge
at the Near Traps (in the Gunks).
