2004-05 club night




Dear Club Director:

The USA Wrestling year begins September 1, 2004. For the sixth year in a row, USA Wrestling/New Jersey will institute a "Club Night" to process the paperwork and purchase of member cards. The meeting will take place on 6:30 pm Tuesday September 7th at the Garfield Boys and Girls Club and Wednesday September 8th, 2004 at 6:30 pm at Howell High School. We will take care of club packet, club charter applications, certificates of insurance, additional insureds, the advance purchase of USAW member cards.

In the past years, the above mentioned actions were often done very late requiring faxes to USA Wrestling National Office and overnight mailings. This year we will process the documents for which you have paid at the meeting as soon as possible and can issue cards out on site. Your coverage for liability will begin this night upon our receipt of your completed form and check. We can not guarantee a prompt response to any club not completing their paperwork at this meeting. Note: For those of you starting your club between September 1 and the date of this meeting, your application will be predated (legally).

Make sure your club is represented. Bring your check book or payment for the following: Club Charter $100; Certificate of insured $30; Coaches cards $25; Athlete cards $25; Athlete cards not purchased through a club will be $30 this year.
In addition, we will discuss the tentative upcoming year's tournament schedule, in-state qualifiers and developmental tournaments, and road trips. We will have the Officials director there to talk to you regarding mat and pairing officiating. We will have the director of coaching there to discuss applications for coaching opportunities. We will have our State instructor discuss coaches certification programs. Our tournament scheduling director will discuss your requests to host a qualifier, developmental, tournament in scholastic or international style for this fall, the spring or summer.

For last year: If you have any registration materials for members that were not completed this past year please come at 6 pm to assist in resolving these and/or plan to stay until after the meeting. Thanks.

FROM RT 80 EASTBOUND: Get off at Saddle Brook exit (Past Paterson) follow signs to Saddle Brook, Midland Ave. Go to light and make a left onto Midland Ave. Go over RXR and through next light. Continue straight and go over RXR again. Go through next light. Continue approx 1/4 mile and Boys and Girls Club on left after library. Parking lot just past building.

FROM RT 80 WESTBOUND: Get off at exit 63; Lodi; up ramp and make a left. Got to light; Essex St; make a left. Go through next light and continue straight. Go through 3 more lights and over RXR. Next light, make a left onto Midland Ave. Club is about 1 mile down on the left.

FROM PARKWAY; NORTHBOUND: Take exit 156 (Elmwood Park / Garfield) to Rt 46 East. Thru 1st light and make a right at 2nd light. Go 2 blocks (as far as you can go) Make a left onto Outwater Lane. Go to 1st light and make a left onto Midland Ave. Club is down on left about 2 blocks.

FROM PARKWAY; SOUTHBOUND: Exit (Saddle Brook-Midland Ave). Make a right onto Midland Ave. Follow the directions for RT 80 EASTBOUND at the top.

405 Squankum Yellowbrook Road, Farmingdale

FROM THE NORTH: Garden State Parkway to Exit 98, Interstate 195.
Interstate 195 west to Exit 31 (Rt.524/Farmingdale).
Take Rt. 524 toward Farmingdale to first traffice light (Rt. 524A).
Left onto 524A and proceed directly to Howell High School.

FROM THE EAST: Interstate 195 west to Exit 31 (Rt.524/Farmingdale).
Take Rt. 524 toward Farmingdale to first traffice light (Rt. 524A).
Left onto 524A and proceed directly to Howell High School.

FROM THE WEST: Interstate 195 east to Exit 31 (Rt.524/Farmingdale).
Take Rt. 524 toward Farmingdale to first traffice light (Rt. 524A).
Left onto 524A and proceed directly to Howell High School.
