WritingWest Forum Page

WELCOME

#WritingWest is a place where writers (and some of the readers who make it all possible) come to chat, but not necessarily about writing. Nearly any topic suitable for a mixed audience is fair game, since it's all grist for the mill.

In addition to chatting, the writers who hang around WritingWest also, at least occasionally, and when they can tear themselves away from chat, write.

When msn brought an era to an end by closing its Writing Forum, we decided to band together and create our own forum from internet resources. This is it.

BULLETIN BOARDS

A very experienced forum manager once told me that the on-line world is divided into two kinds of people: those who like to chat, and those who like to post. For those who like to chat, see the "Chatting" page. Those who like to post can fill that need on the WritingWest Forum Boards.

Please note, you do NOT have to register to read or post to our boards, however registration will enable you to edit or delete your own posts.

We reserve the right to remove material which, in our opinion, is inappropriately posted (off topic), spam-like (advertising with no on-topic content), obscene, or otherwise offensive to our members.

SELECTED WRITING

Well, OK. Most of this is selected from my hard drive, but that's only because, like everything else on this page, we're only getting started. Besides, think of it as a perk for maintining this website, LOL. I, or any of the contributing writers listed below, would appreciate your comments, if you would care to email us.

POEMS.

ESSAYS. An essay is one of my favorite writing forms. Thanks to a great chat regular, "Nouns," for the opportunity to start this category with a display of his words and wit. STORIES. Well, stories and maybe a few other things that can't be classed elsewhere. (Chat spoof, anyone?)

LAUGHS

Writers, or at least those who frequent writing chat, seem to have an affinity for collecting funny lists, jokes, and things of a similar ilk. Unfortunately, all I remember about most of these little tidbits is that they came via email. And I've lost the name of the original emailer to boot. If anyone has a clue as to how I should attribute any of these, please let me know.

GETTING IN TOUCH

Just click on our names to email either Will (aka: The ChatGod) or Alice (aka: night_writer, aka: me).

SEE YOU IN CHAT!
