How does nickjay78 (Darrell Lehman) pack his records?
Thanks for the interest - the first thing I'd say is
"Check my eBay feedback under nickjay78". It's totally
unsolicited; people seem to like my packing method which is:
I put 2 pieces of corrugated cardboard on EACH side of the record(s)
(utilizes 4 pieces total) with the corrugations" alternating
directions. I put a layer of styrofoam "peanuts" in the bottom,
work them smooth, put the "sandwich" in, put a layer of "peanuts"
on top, bounce the box to settle them and add more "peanuts",
repeat the bounce-and-add several times leaving a slight amount
of space at the top, and tape it up tight as a drum. I have a
nice, usually new 6" - 8" box which allows for no "flexing" of
the contents. I know this will spark a debate for years to come
among collectors as to the wisdom of it all but all I can say is:
I've never had a record broken---yet.
