far from family

hoping as you're reading

maybe just the spirit
maybe just the word
will bring us some comfort
maybe if you heard

maybe you are feeling
similar to me
maybe in this sharing
we find company

inside I am still a child
I just want to play
maybe you find meaning
in the words I say

I am still a hopeful child
truth is what I share
just want to love and be loved
  maybe you will care...

feeling shades of blue
I still come here hoping
I still care for you

sure it wasn't planned
but instead of moping

maybe just the reading
knowing that I care
will bring you some comfort
