REACTION TO PRAISE
January 12, 2000
wow... gawrsh... eeeek... ummmm... errrr... duh...
you left out articulate LAM
seriously... my flabber is gasted... and it feels absolutely wonderful... especially since this was just written last night and I didn't look at it to edit or modify (which is what I'm supposed to do according to editors and modifiers and English professors who've had me over for tea :)
>This is excellent. Simplistically deep and openly mindedly awesome.
>Obviously, the writer is quite sensitive, imaginative and
>compassionately creative. The writer should pursue a carreer of
>fervency and part-time as a professional author and poet. I salute
>you!
>
and some part of me always wished to be heard
so I sought an audience to hear my word
and some part of me always wished to be free
so I sing most of my songs anonymously...
yeah, I suppose it would be a luxury to be paid for doing something I love, often live to do... and then some voice asked what I'd be selling... just words?
of course the anti-commercialism rebel might just be a fool who is afraid of rejection or failure (shhhhh... this is alt.support.loneliness, not analysis ;)
fact is whenever I have time for words, I want to write and not edit or package the words as they'd need to be packaged to sell... so it would take an editor and publisher as stubborn and incorrigibly persistant to their work as I am resistant to thinking about writing...
see, I don't usually consciously think when I write (I hear friends laughing - obvious sometimes, huh? :)
but I do pour myself as well as I can into an idea whether it's mine or anothers, real or pure imagination... so to explain the feeling that the praise in your words inspires in me... well... I hope someday to be the writer you see in me, for then perhaps I could thank you in words...
>Supremacy is a pastel lamb in combat gear!!
>
and it is a supreme pleasure to find you here... awesome line - where can I read more of your words? (I sense it is not only praise you do well)...
>Keep me feeling your weapons. Keep me holding your fires.
>
and keep me inspired with yours...
>Great stuff!
I'm gonna go find a pin for my head now :)
honest love, ric

(this is the poem... and I should be happy that one questioning me about "Judge's Song" a few posts ago didn't assume this was all about me too ;)
