the saddest thing I ever heard
was someone say
"please don't love me,
cuz I am not as you expected...
and I can't be everything

I understood she never knew
the true meaning of love
as it was meant to be
it's not something expected
or any sort of obligation
it's something that sets you free
all I want when I love someone
if for them to be happy
all I want to do when I love someone
is to help them be all they can be

way love works, you can't really stop someone from loving you... you can
refuse to receive the love they feel and send... you can ask them not to
send it... you can even ask them not to feel it, but love doesn't turn
off on request (at least this has been my experience with love, when it
is honest)... I hope you consider changing your mind...

I do not agree... if someone asks you to change - to be "good enough"
for them, or if someone tells you that you are not good enough, they do
not love you honestly and for me, that's not love... that's control...
that's usery... that's a manipulative game, but it's not love...
and if somebody is not satisfied and happy with you as you are, they do
not love you... if you want to change something, they want to help...
but if you are happy they way you are, then anyone who loves you is
happy with you the way you are... this is love to me...
please consider my way of describing love here... I do not expect you to
be anything for me... I don't want you to change anything about you for
me... I just want you to be you, because I love you...
it is an honest love I offer freely to everyone, hoping everyone will
share it with me... it asks only that you be honest and try to not hurt
me or anyone, including you... and to find comfort in it and in
yourself... and to share anything you wish to share...
so, now that you know what I mean by "love you", would you reconsider
your answer to my question?... let me love you?...
thank you for listening... I may not return here until the weekend (this
is a totally unscheduled and unexpected stop by :) ... but if you let
me love you, it starts when you say yes in your heart and mind :)
