well as the butt of those second coming jokes or flames or whatever, let me be the first to laugh at the ridiculousness of exaggerations and maybe by laughing at myself we can all remember what a sense of humour is for... I think all this over-dramatized rhetoric is what is really hurting the atmosphere in the group... so ok, I'm jesus - I've got the hair and beard for the part... some want to crucify me and some want to anoint me... do I get to sing Gesthemene? (love that song :)
see, I don't take the "ric is saint" jokes seriously cuz I believe they are jokes... and I dont take the "crucify ric because he's evil an brought plagues on ASL" seriously because I haven't... my posts are not full of insults or innuendos or finger pointing... I'm not calling out names and living in memories of two years ago... this is as close to that sort of folly as I'd like to get... and my point here is if I can brush off the unprovoked insults and hostility aimed directly at me, then what's up with everybody else?...
the world is full of obstacles and people who hate... prejudice is far from gone... we can still have fun and make jokes and enjoy life... we just have to stop giving the negativity power... I vent a bit to friends in private mail if I feel too frustrated and then come back here and don't pay much attention to it after a while...
you're right... there are a lot fewer positive posts... why?... because of every one of us who is not posting positive posts... what are we afraid of?... words?... come on, we can get over this and enjoy the support we can share again...
and thank you for posting good thoughts... I hope you see the hope and let that inspire you to some poetry or jokes too - I miss your zinging one-liners :)
