CONFUSION
January 14, 2000
this is great Angela... absolutely beautiful...
>Blue hope begins my life
>Trapped in my black soul
>Invisible to the unbelieving
>Breaking out with the trusted few.
>
>A flash of white clears the haze
>An instant laugh, a smile
>A tear, not sadness this time
>
>The rosy world fills me a moment
>Streaks the black transparent
>I see now who I should be
>The one who was intended
>by God
>by others
>
>I did not build a wall but a window
>blackened with stains of tears
>No one can see in
>Blue hope gives no heat
>It fades, is fed upon.
>
>Somehow the black always returns
>But confusion is forever gray.
>
or break the window
to let the tears run out
and flood humanity
will that do any good
if the tears do not stop
maybe for someone else
but then what about me
how can I stop the tears
that seem to stain the glass
will I ever be cleansed
of the blue black pain
how to find catharsis
how to find healing
how to find myself
lost inside my brain
am I just afraid to find out
what life is all about
am I'm just afraid to become
whatever I'd become
if I trusted someone
what if I trusted someone?
trust may be the pot of gold
at the end of the rainbow
maybe getting there begins
with breaking the window
and as I flood the world with tears
maybe I'll find somebody who cares
maybe they'll remind me how it feels
when someone cares
when someone shares
when someone hears
when someone's there
it takes light to make a rainbow
I wonder if you know what I mean
I see a shadow behind a dark window
I wonder if I can be seen
to share the most important lesson
I have learned in all my years
it's not the pain or sorrow
what destroys love is the fears
and hope is what restores love
I wish everyone hears
that it only takes believing
in yourself and not your fears
to see through the darkest window and
to see rainbows through your tears
honest love, ric
"your heart to mine
my heart to yours
talk about opening windows
talk about opening doors
my heart to yours
your heart to mine
love is a light that shines
from heart to heart"
