Into her third decade of calling dances, CAROL KOPP is
northeast Ohio's premiere dance caller. More than any other single individual, Carol, who shares all she knows to help others develop their
skills, is responsible for the wealth of good callers and thriving dances in our corner of the state.

The CLEVELAND CALLERS COLLECTIVE is an informal
organization of callers, open to all who are interested in learning to call, and
dedicated to enlarging the Cleveland-area dance community by recruiting new
dancers of all ages.
The Collective currently consists of 3 active members: Ann DuFresne,
Margaret Glenn, and Jan Larsen [respectively shown below] and 2 inactive
members: David Butera and Mora Meluch. The Collective was founded by caller
Carol Kopp, and most of the Cleveland-area callers are alums.
The Collective currently can be found calling and organizing the
3rd Friday dance in Lakewood. For more information call (216) 932-4477 or (440)
886-4144.
Ann DuFresne also calls and organizes the Bay Village
Community House dance on the fourth Friday of the month, and calls regularly at
many other local dances. Phone (216) 382-9868 for information.
Margaret Glenn calls and organizes the summer Hale Farm
series, and also calls extensively for beginners and other groups, (440)
886-4144. Robert Glenn, a well-known fiddler with several local contra
dance bands, is a near relation.
Jan Larsen calls and organizes the Marshallville dance
on the second Saturday, and calls regularly at the Lakewood dance, (216)
932-4477.
