MISSING WEISENBURGERS
 | Does anyone know what became of the following children of Georg Weissenburger
(~1830-1880) and Catharina Hissung: Katharina (b. 22 Nov 1859 in Peterstal), Elisabeth
(b. 5 Aug 1861 in Peterstal) [possibly married Carl LENO??--see above], Eva (b. 18
Jun 1863 in Grossliebental), Heinrich (b. 6 Feb 1875 in Wilhelmstal), and Jakob
(b. 8 Mar 1879 in Wilhelmstal)?? It seems likely that they stayed in
Russia. ..... Further research has found that Jakob (b.
1879) arrived at Ellis Island on 13 Jun 1909 aboard a ship from Genoa, Italy. He was
accompanied by his wife Luisa 28, and their children Catherina 8, Christian 1, and Jacob
(an infant). They were in hospital and the records note that they were deported.
The passenger list for their arrival indicates that Jakob's brother Heinrich was
still in Wilhelmstal. |
