Max Baer best known for his role as Jethro on "The Beverly Hillbillies" television show was coming to town for a meet and greet. He was in our town to promote the brand new Beverly Hillbillies slot machine and would sign autographs and take pictures with everybody that came out to meet him. We're not the types to pass an easy autograph opportunity like this and headed over to the casino he was appearing at.
The weather was a little crazy, but thankfully we made it safely to the event. When we entered the building we saw a pretty big line and it was obvious that it wasn't for a game of blackjack, but instead to meet Mr. Baer. The line was moving extremely slow and to make matters worse he took a break a few minutes after we got in line. We can understand that signing autographs for many hours would surely cramp up the hand. He returned ready to sign some more about 15 minutes later and got right down to business, yeah.
After waiting for quite some time it was now our turn to meet Jethro. Sterling was the first up to bat and got to meet this friendly man. After getting his autograph Max was kind enough to offer free Polaroid pictures with him and also allowed Sterling to get one with his own camera. Earl was up next and was greeted quickly by the friendly Baer. Like Sterling, Max insisted Earl get a free Polaroid photo-op along with his own picture from his camera. It was really cool being able to leave with a picture with him already developed -to see if it turned out. Max was a very friendly guy and really seemed to enjoy every fan he met. We were satisfied and headed home.
