Celebrity Encounter Story told by Sterling and Earl:

We were on route to a venue to try and meet Vertical Horizon when we heard on the radio that the opening act, Blue October, was going to be at a radio station for a live performance. Hearing this, we quickly turned around and tried to make it to the station before their performance was over.

We listened to almost their entire interview and a couple of songs that they played. Both of us were really happy when we pulled up to the radio station and knew that we had made it on time. It looked like they had a touring van parked outside, so we decided to wait by it and see how far it would take us.

Neither of us knew what the band members looked like so this was probably going to be a bit tricky. The radio station doors opened up and out came a group of people carrying musical equipment, which looked more like band members than roadies. Sterling took a chance and asked them for their autographs, not particularly directed at anyone, while they were heading to the van. Luckily it was everyone from the band and better yet they were more than happy to sign for us.

They were really surprised that people wanted some autographs and were actually waiting for them. We told them how great they were on the radio and how much we appreciated their music, which they were very happy to hear. One cool thing that violinist Ryan Delahoussaye adds with his autograph is a devil-playing a violin, sweet.

After signing they were nice enough to stay together for a group picture. It was great that we caught them in time before they left the station. It was funny because we kept seeing them later that day while trying to get Vertical Horizon's autographs. Continue on to their story to find out if we had any luck meeting them.

Final Thoughts

This autograph wasn't expected, but we're glad we could meet this nice group of people. Thank you guys so much and keep it up!
