Celebrity Encounter Story told by Sterling and Earl:

Sterling and Earl were ready once again for the annual rock festival. This year's lineup included headliners P.O.D followed by Static X, Sevendust, Trust Company, Flaw, Coal Chamber, Face to Face, onesidezero, Medication, and American Head Charge. One of our favorite things about this festival is that most bands sign autographs at an autograph booth and we hoped Coal Chamber wouldn't disappoint.

After meeting several bands the next on the line-up for the autograph booth was P.O.D or Coal Chamber, it was weird because even the people running the booth didn't know who would come first. Earlier in the day Coal Chamber cancelled their signing and really let down so many fans. I guess they didn't want to do that to their fans because they decided to sign and as a result the autograph booth organizers put their name back on the board.

P.O.D was supposed to sign right before Coal Chamber, which was 6:30pm. Well the time for P.O.D passed and they announced that Coal Chamber would be appearing first. We still had hopes for P.O.D so we didn't get in the Coal Chamber line which we had done earlier (we had also missed Medication and American Head Charge). Cheers started to fill the air as Coal Chamber sat down and started signing. This was killing us because we still weren't sure if P.O.D was going to stay true to their scheduled time. Coal Chamber kept on signing and signing and signing.

We had now waited almost 5 hours alone just for P.O.D and had missed out on two other band signings because of them, so we had enough of missing out on autographs. Each of us took turns going into the line and meeting Coal Chamber, while one of us stayed and held a good spot in line (why didn't we think of this earlier?). All of them were really nice to meet and seemed to really enjoy meeting their fans; they signed longer than I've ever seen any band sign at these rock festivals. We got back in line for P.O.D and prepared to wait...(read their story to find out the conclusion of the day).

Final Thoughts

Coal Chamber signed so long that almost anybody that wanted their autograph got one or two or three sets of their autographs. Thank you so much Coal Chamber for signing so long, you are one of the best!
