(Continued from Goldie Hawn) Erika Christensen started out on television in commercials for McDonald's, but would soon be known for more than just hamburgers. Erika was named one of People Magazine's 'Breakthrough Stars of 2001' for her stunning performance in "Traffic". She received the awards for Female Breakthrough Performance at the MTV Movie Awards, Female Standout Performance at the Young Hollywood Awards, and Outstanding Performance by a Cast Ensemble at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Clearly Erika Christensen has arrived as an outstanding actress and appears to have a long career ahead of her. Amazingly enough, Erika was coming to town for a film festival and this gave us a chance to meet her.
After meeting Goldie Hawn, After that nice surprise we wanted to try and get the autograph of the beautiful and talented Erika Christensen. We raced to the venue and hoped that we weren't too late, but it turned out we were a little early. This gave us an opportunity to check out the venue and get a feel for the surroundings.
It wasn't long until we happened to spot Erika Christensen driving by in a gold Jeep, but unfortunately for her, she passed the venue. When she came back down the street she passed by yet again and we couldn't believe she couldn't see the venue.
I guess she finally spotted the place and parked because before we knew it she rounded the corner and was heading towards the entrance. This was our chance and we didn't let it go to waste because I asked nicely for an autograph. Someone with her said, "oh you've got some fans here". Erika smiled and gladly took Sharpie in hand and signed our pictures. Both of us then got a picture with her and she was just a sweetheart.
When I got my photo taken with her, her Mom or manager said we should take it again because they didn't think it would turn out. They said it wouldn't turn out because Erika and I were standing in the shade, while Sterling was taking the picture under the sunlight. Erika and I repositioned ourselves into the light and closer to Sterling and he snapped the shot. Both pictures ended up turning out great, so I guess it was a great gain for me. We were thankful that she stopped for us and thanked her so much. That autograph didn't take long at all and we have only good things to say about Erika.
