Celebrity Encounter Story told by Earl:

On this day I was off in the hopes of meeting comedian George Lopez. When I arrived to the area G. Lo would be staying I noticed that a film set was across the street. I knew exactly what was being filmed and wondered if the films star, Adam Beach, was filming this day. I had tried once before to get Adam's autograph at a "Windtalker" event, but he was a no show. I figured that it would be worth going over to the set to see if Adam was indeed there, crosses fingers.

When I arrived on the scene I met up with fellow collector Newt and headed to the movie set. The cool thing about this set was that it wasn't heavily guarded like it's big budgeted movie siblings. Both of us were actually allowed to stand with the crew and watch take after take.

Since I want to work in this business I found everything really interesting and informative and tried to soak it all in. Sure enough Adam Beach was there and both of us hoped that he would sign afterwards. As they were filming we talked to some of the crew and they said it would be okay to ask for autographs when filming wrapped, sweet.

After they finished filming for the day, both of us quickly ran up to Mr. Beach before he could take off. At first he didn't seem like he would stop for autographs but it turned out that he didn't hear us when we asked. Adam Beach ended up being a really cool guy and stopped for a second to sign and take pictures with each of us. As he was signing he pointed to his co-star and said we should get her autograph because she was an upcoming star.

It was cool of him to point that out for us and hook us up with another celebrity encounter. After getting the last picture with him he was off and we asked his co-star, Alex Rice, if we could get her autograph as well. She signed and took a picture with us and was just as nice as Adam. We thanked everyone on the set and got the director's autograph for good measure. Clearly my autograph hunt for the day was already going great, now our attention was focused on George Lopez.

Final Thoughts

It was such a cool experience being on the movie set and I'm so thankful that Adam Beach and Co. stopped and signed. Thank you Mr. Beach!!!
