Camp Lejeune is located in Jacksonville,
NC. Enter Camp
Lejeune at the main gate
on NC 24 (East or West). The range is located approximately 3.5 - 4
miles from the gate on the right (Parachute
Tower Road intersects with Holcomb
Blvd where the speed limit changes from 55 to 45
mph). Non-DOD personnel may be required to get a visitor's pass.
You will need: valid drivers license, car registration, and proof of
insurance. If you encounter any problems on advertised shoot days, call
the range at 910-451-3889 after 08:30 and a volunteer will come to escort
you. Volunteer escorts may not be available at other times (range
employees can't leave the range). Speed limits are strictly enforced
aboard the base; please drive carefully! Guns and ammo must be
transported separately and guns must not be accessible to occupants of the
vehicle. Entry for trapshooters has
not been a problem. They have a list of NC ATA shooters at the gate which
expedites the entry process.

The BackEast Trap Club willbe holding registered
shoots at the Marine Base at Camp Lejeune
near Jacksonville, NC.
CWO5 Bob Mizner will be conducting the registered shoots. They have
2 fields with Beomats. Bob Mizner helped run the club in Okinawa and is keeping
registered shoots going at Camp
Lejeune.
Rental guns are available at the range ($2.00
per gun per person). A limited supply of trap ammo is available at
reasonable prices. Jacksonville has a Wal-Mart located at US Highway 17
& Western Blvd and two K-Marts (one on NC 24 East, one at the intersection
of Henderson and Gum Branch). These stores normally have Winchester
AA, Federal, or Remington Premier STS ammo. Snacks and soft drinks are
available at the range. Burger King, Domino s Pizza, and SubWay are
located on base near the range.
