USB TO SERIAL PORT ADAPTER

USB TO SERIAL PORT ADAPTER

If your computer does not have a serial port, but does have USB ports, you can use this adapter cable to change a USB port to a serial port. The cable is approx. 3.5 ft long. Each adapter cable comes with a mini-CD with drivers for Win98, WinME, Win2000, WinXP, Mac, and Linux. Installation instructions are on the CD also. These are great to use with our interfaces if you have a laptop or desk computer that doesn't have a serial port.

Just connect the cable into any USB port and plug any RS-232 device or any DB 9P Male connector, such as, PDA, scanner or printer, into the other end.

NOTE:  We have not tried these with the Windows VISTA operating system. (Because we don't have a computer running VISTA) As you can see above the place where we buy these says they will work with VISTA (I have been told by a customer that this applies to the regular 32 bit processor system. If you have the high tech 64 bit processor these may not work with your system.)
