Some software is designed for a specific digital mode (i.e. SSTV, PSK31, RTTY, etc.); others will do a variety of modes with one software. You will need to decide which is best for your needs, your computer, etc. Although you don't need the latest, fastest, biggest computer on the market, please checkout what the particular programs need in system requirements. If you have a computer that runs at 100 Mhz or faster, has a Sound Blaster Pro or better soundcard, you have what it takes to run most of these software programs.
