A Diatonic Music Staff

This staff relates directly to the diatonic button accordion. Each group, or clef, of three lines, represents Do-Mi-So. The spaces within the clef are Re and Fa. The wide spaces between the clefs represent La and Ti. La sits on top of the upper line of the lower clef, and Ti touches the lower line of the upper clef. The low So can be represented with a short line or clef extender through it. An additional clef can be added for instruments with wider range, and a clef may be omitted for a tune with a narrow range.

The lines are all push strokes, and the spaces are draw strokes.

This staff does not use a key signature. It is independent of the key in which a tune will be played. Otherwise it uses standard staff notation. If a person can read staff notation, he or she can easily transcribe music from the standard staff to this one.
