The 82 CJ-7 was bought after my 81 CJ HIGH 'N' DRY was destroyed.  I bought it because it was a good base to start my next project.  The body tub was in excellent shape with no rust or major body damage.  It had been built by the previous owner with some good add ons.  It already had a built 401 AMC, 3 inch lift and 33" Buckshot Mudders.  I added a few extra on FOOLIN' but I knew that this Jeep would need a special rebuild.  In December of 1995 I found a 95 Chevy. 350 LT-1 with 6k miles on it in a rear hit Camaro.  I got all the needed pieces and began my Jeep build-up that is still going on today.  I really never thought that it would take this long when I started, but I had pieced together projects before.  I wanted to make this different and try to do it all at once.  After I got the old 401 and the transmission out, I had the 460LE transmission total rebuilt and the Advanced Adapters kit installed to mate up to the Dana 300 transfer case.  My Friend Brian Butterfield and I located and installed the motor and transmission with Advanced Adapters motor mounts.  Then the buildup and fun really started. Mark Eddingfield reworked the entire body and applied the black paint. After working on my Jeep for several years I have decided to name this Jeep PATIENCE after another one of my favorite songs.
