Movie: My Fair Lady
"My Fair Lady" is a beautiful movie of a poor girl who is given the opportunity to rise above her lower class status with the help of a speech professor. Her lessons enable her to masquerade as a lady, fooling everyone. The movie takes you through her entire transformation from a poor downtrodden flower girl to a beautiful refined lady. It's a moving tale sure to thrill your soul. I also thought it was a funny movie. I would recommend it for kids ages 9 and up.

Movie: Anastasia
In the beginning of this movie we see a girl who is the daughter of Tsar Nicholas of Russia. Her name is Anastasia which is the name and subject of this movie. Anastasia is one of the Grand Duchesses of Russia. Life is very good for Anastasia, living in the royal palace with her whole family. Tsar Nicholas had a trusted advisor named Rasputin who now curses Anastsia and her family. Russia is about to have a revolution and the Russian people rebel, wanting to kill Anastasia and the royal family. There is a boy named Dimitri who works in the palace kitchen, who helps Anastasia and her grandmother escape from the palace. Anastasia and her grandmother become separated during the escape and Anastasia falls, bumping her head. When she awakes she can't remember who she is. Anastasia is taken to an orphanage, where she grows up. Her grandmother meanwhile escapes to France where she continues to search for her, in the hope that Anastasia is still alive.
While growing up in Russia, Anastasia has the most wonderful visions of her past life and longs for them even though she doesn't remember where they take place. She sets out looking for someone who can tell her who she is and meets a man called Dimitri who says he can help her. Dimitri wants to get out of Russia and also wants to get rich. He does not know who Anastasia is but thinks Anastasia could pass for the real Grand Duchess Anastasia. The two go to Paris and along the way Dimitri tries to teach her about the royal family. Meanwhile Rasputin, the once trusted royal advisor, has been called back from the dead to finish his curse on the Tsar's family. He sends many demons to kill Anastasia but she always escapes. She begins to remember more and more of her past while on the journey to Paris with Dimitri. Finally Dimitri and Anastasia reach Paris and meet the woman who is Anastasia's grandmother. Anastasia remembers a perfume that her grandmother was wearing when they were separated many earlier years before and tells the grandmother that she remembers spilling it as a child. Anastasia also finds learns that Dimitri is the boy from the palace in Russia. She has fallen in love with Dimitri and decides to marry him rather than take her place as Grand Duchess. This was a extremely enjoyable movie and I think any age group could watch it.

Movie review: A Bug's Life
Take a journey into a bug's life where to an ant the most dangerous things in life are birds and grasshoppers. That's where our story begins. Princess Atta is learning to be the next queen. She is so nervous about this. Then there is Flik who is an ant who likes to invent things. His new invention is supposed to help pick the grain faster. All the other ants think it's a waste of time. Suddenly the horns blow. a signal that grasshoppers are coming to collect food they demand from the ants as a tribute. Everyone gets the food ready except for Flik who is left behind because he is far from the offering stone where the food is supposed to be placed. Suddenly his new invention hits a stone that is holding up all the food knocking it over and nto a puddle. Flik tries to warn the princess but she is too worried to listen to him. The grasshoppers then break into the anthill. Hopper, the leader of the grasshoppers, is very mad, so mad that he doubles the amount of food the ants are forced to offer. The ants now have gather the food the grasshoppers demand by the time the last leaf falls from the tree. Every ant in the colony is now angry at Flik.
Flik goes to the city to find help. All the ants in the colony are happy because Flik is gone and can't mess anything else up while he is away. Flik is now in the city and it is amazing. Every bug you could possibly imagine is there. At the Empty Bean Can Bar he finds circus bugs which he believes are warrior bugs. They follow Flik to Ant Island to escape a creature called Thud the Fly.
Princess Atta gives a speech warning of the warrior bugs. Rosie, the Black Widow Spider has told Flik that these were circus bugs. There is a mad chase in a birds nest and suspense when the grasshoppers return to collect their food and find none. This movie uses imagination, humor, and has excitement in what is a very clever story. It sounds comlicated, but that's what makes it interesting. It's a movie I really liked and recommend highly.

T.V. Show Review: Dexter's Laboratory
Technology and modern science the world has never seen before along with destructive and annoying sisters - it's all here at "Dexter's Laboratory". Do you want to visit this place? I'm afraid the only way to do this is through your television set. This is a television show and it's on the Cartoon Network. This show is very entertaining. Every day I watch it and even older kids can enjoy the humor. My brother is in the 9th grade and he can't get enough of it. He laughs with joy watching Dexter's Laboratory. There are a lot of cool shows on Cartoon Network. Just ask my classmates. They are always bugging me about what's on if they don't have an opportunity to watch. I give the show and the Cartoon Network 2 thumbs up all the way. So if you have an opportunity to tune in, Dexter's Laboratory is woth a visit.

The year it's Colony 195, and the Earth Sphere Alliance gains power and controls 1 colony after another in the name of justice and peace. To counter the Alliance's tyranny, rebels bring new weapons to Earth disguising them as shooting stars. They are the 5 Gundams, a special type of mobile suits made of gundanium alloy. This show is called "Gundam Wing" and I think it's awesome. I recommend it for ages 9 and up because it has action. You can watch this show on Cartoon Network at 5:30 eastern time. My rating?.... A 10 OUT OF 10!

TV Show: Malcolm in the Middle
"Malcolm in the Middle" is a T.V. show that I like a lot. I feel that it is good for ages 9 and up. It might not be understandable for younger children. It is about a not so typical family made into a comedy. There is Hal, Mom, Malcolm, Reese, Francis, and Dewy. They are all brothers. My favorites are Malcolm and Reese. The whole family is very funny. It's a show that I try to watch every time it's on.
