Lovic
and Frances Streetman's Children
When the rest of
the family left Georgia, Lovic remained in Jackson
County Georgia
with his wife Frances Bailey Streetman, where our Grandpa was born in 1874.
He later moved his family to Gwinnett County Georgia, where his wife died.
About 1891 he moved to Clay County, Alabama. In 1897, records indicate
he had moved his family to Chicot Co. Arkansas. In 1899 he was accidentally
killed when thrown from a horse at the age of 50. Both Grandpa Streetman's
daddy and his youngest son, Jesse Allison were killed when thrown from
a horse. The following dates regarding his children are taken from
Grandma Streetman's bible.

- Our Grandfather
Grandpa was the second
child born to Lovic and Frances Bailey Streetman. He came to Chicot
County Arkansas, with his father Lovic and other siblings, when they joined
the family of his Grandfather, William Geter Streetman.
Lillie Dukes
He first married
Lillie Dukes (no date of his marriage or her death) Had one son, named
Lovic who lived with him when he married our Grandmother Mary Frances NeSmith.
All three, Harrison, Lillie, and Lovic Streetman are listed in 1900 census
of Chicot County, Arkansas. Mother remembers Lovic being very
sick and Grandma taking care of him. Aunt Lillian told me that she
was named after Lillie Dukes. She said that Grandpa and Lillie had
another child, a girl, who died quite young, and that she remembers that
Grandpa had a picture of this child which hung on the wall in his bedroom.
When Grandpa married our Grandmother, Mary Frances NeSmith in 1908,
Mr. Dukes, his father-in-law from this first marriage came to live with
them.
