To: From: Lt. Jack B. Shanahan Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Shanahan 0-129402 Box 1222 Co B 512th P[????] [??] [?] Seminary Hill A.P.O. 452 SP.M. NYC Fort Worth, Texas 24 Nov. 1944Dearest Annie Ruth & Leo,
In EnglandI've just received another letter from A.R.
2 and as per usual it makes me very happy to hear from you. But this letter brought with it sadness I had not known. I can truly realize the sadness & lonliness in your hearts over the loss of the baby.3 and may I join with the others and offer my humble sympathy. My personel talk with the Lord each night includes you both. May the future bring the happiness that you so rightly deserve.4
I worry so about Flora5 because I never know just how she is -- although she reassures me that everthing is fine in each of her letters. Help me keep her spirits high with letters often. Reserve a little payer for us.Jack
