MUSSER AND COMPANY
This was a family owned business which no longer exists. It was a food processing business in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa. I served as the Controller for several years. The company processed shell eggs, frozen eggs, NY dressed poultry, eviscerated poultry, turkeys and ducks and geese. There were three main processing plants and thirty buying stations. The industry changed and the processing plants in this area were not able to maintain their operating margins. The federal government actions with grain support programs and financing of new poultry raising and processing operations in the East and South after the end of the war, changed the production and distribution facets of the business.
