Newt Becker employed me to choose and install a computerized accounting system for his organization. The privately owned company taught CPA candidates how to pass the qualification examinations in their respective states so they could become Certified Public Accountants.
We chose Platinum (now Epicor) and set up the system so that it automatically fed off of the existing spreadsheet and database reporting system (which was left intact), but provided auditable financial information. The existing office network and distributed computer system at the various offices around the U. S. continued in place.
